About Reverend Swing
Cheryl Swing is an Award-Winning Writer and Author of the book, Soul Purpose: My Spiritual Path to Wholeness. She is a Hospital Chaplain specializing in Crisis and Trauma-Informed Care. Cheryl also provides Spiritual Direction, Life Coaching, Workshop Facilitation, and is a powerful Motivational Speaker. Cheryl's soul calling is grounded in Philanthropy, Storytelling and Radical Hospitality.
Cheryl completed her undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska and earned a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. She is an Ordained Clergywoman in The United Church of Christ (UCC) and is seeking Board Certification from The Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). In 2018, Cheryl was honored as the Ronald E. Sleeth Preacher of the Year and in 2020 she was awarded an Author Fellowship with the Martha's Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing. Cheryl is currently completing a Crisis & Trauma Fellowship in the Centura Health System in Colorado.
Outside the breadth of her work, Cheryl is a mom and dog mom to her spirited Rez dog. She is an avid weightlifter, golfer, hiker, cyclist and paddleboarder. In her leisure time, Cheryl loves checking things off her bucket list, reading, writing, creating stained glass art, wine pairings, live music and a good movie.
